Busy, busy, busy

Well, school has been back in for 3 weeks now. Crazy. Having 3 there this year is busy. So much to keep up with! Justin is in 6th this year. Middle school....wow, where did the time go? Jenna is in 3rd and Joshua is in 1st. We love the school and I thank God for it every morning when I drop them off. What a blessing it has been for him to provide so we can send them there.
On another note, we are moving in less then 3 weeks and that is stressing me to the core too! I have spent the last 3 days painting and thought I was done with the kids rooms. Well, Jillian had other plans for me and deceided to "help" out. Needless to say, I bought some Kilz this morning and have a wall to redo.
We leave this afternoon for Destin for Renee and Brians wedding! YEAH! I can't wait, I am SO happy for them! And a drink in my hand sounds like heaven this week!

Back to school.....

In 2 weeks! Crazy to think that summer is already over! I can't believe it! I'm so not ready for the kids to go back to school! I absolutely LOVE their school, but there are many days I wish we could go back in time and still be homeschooling. But that's not the case, so we have to make the best of it. Justin's book bag and lunchbox should be here next week and we have to get some new tennis shoes for all of them and we will be ready. All their uniforms are clean and in their closets and Jenna and Joshua's book bags and lunch boxes are ready!
Rec league football and cheerleading camps started this week too! All 4 of them are loving it! I'm not loving the heat and bugs so much, but.........the things we do for our kids! I am actually really looking forward to watching all of them at the games!
So, 14 days and counting till school and 1 more weekend at the beach as we head to St Simons Island next weekend! Hope everyone is doing great and having a great summer!

Tampa 2009

As usual, It's been awhile...............
We have been in Tampa for the last week and head home today. We drove down last Sunday after Justin got home from church camp. He had a blast there with his friend Bryce and then it was back in the car for another 7 hours! We have had a GREAT week, despite the 3 days of monsuning rain. We still got to Clearwater 2 days and look like lobsters to prove it! We got to spend a whole day with the Hughes and another night with Ellis and Melissa. We also attended a great July 4th party at Kristys house. It was great to get to spend some time with Dawn and her kids as well, before they move to Dubai in 2 weeks. And we got to spend lots of time with Angel and Phil staying at their beautiful house! Angel and I also spent an entire day running around in the rain. We got soaked, but had a great time doing it!
Now we are preparing/packing to drive back to the ATL today. Sad as always to leave. We so miss all our friends here. But, we'll be back............soon. It was such a relaxing vacation, we are planning on another week in th early fall. Wishing we could come back sooner, but we already have a weekend in St Simons planned for the end of July. MAC flies up to us on Tuesday, and rec league football and cheerleading starts next week. Oh yeah, swim team tryouts on Wed too.......whew, I'm tired just thinking about it!

It's almost SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so it has been awhile...................
Jillians last day of preschool was yesterday. Joshua's last day of Kindergarten is today :(, and Justin and Jenna get out next Friday. Next year the 3 older ones will all be at the same school....thank goodness. I could hardly keep up this year.We are planning a trip to St Simons the end of July and possibly to the Nick Hotel the end of August for Jillians birthday. Justin will be going to church camp at the end of June as well. Other then that we will be busy with work and all the kids activities all summer. Swim team is in full force now through the end of June and Rec league football and cheerleading start the middle of July. Jenna stilll has her all-star cheerleading all summer as well. Not so sure it's gonna be a time of real rest for us! :) Though there will be no homework, so thats a plus! Steve desperatly wants to spend a long weekend at the lake, so hopefully we can fit that in. Oh and I almost forgot.....one of Justins best friends from Florida, MAC, will be flying in to spend 5 days with us in July too! Justin dosn't even know yet! He is going to be thrilled!
That should pretty much catch you up to speed with us. I will try and be a little better on here.

So maybe if I aim for once a month!?!?!?!?!
I told you I wasn't so good at blogging! :) We have just been staying busy as ever here in Georgia....and boy has it been COLD here! It was 19 yesterday morning. I am sure missing Tampa this week!
The kids are plugging along at school and we are plugging along with the business. Justin and Joshua are getting ready to try their hand at Roller Hockey and Jenna is in full swing with cheerleading. Today was their 2nd competition and they won 2nd. They did great! She is loving Jayhawks this year!
Our other news....we got a new puppy. Meet Lacey- a 5 month old Golden Retreiver. As soon as I can get her to stay still enough for a picture....I will. She is precious and the kids love her. However this cold weather this week has made taking her out to the bathroom a lot of fun!
And the best news....we are headed to North Augusta this week for a few days. We are all looking forward to some yummy Turkey Day food and time with friends and family! And most of all, we can't wait to see Blane and Tina's new baby girl.......Alexis Blane. She was born on Friday. I can't wait to hold her!
Hopefully we'll get to see many of you this week.....Have a great Thanksgiving!

I'm really not too good at this blogging thing.....

I really am not good at keeping this updated.....sorry! We have just been busy as usual. Between work, school and activities for the kids.....there's not much time left. Everyone still likes school, especially Jillian. She absolutely LOVES preschool. I am so glad we decided to put her in. Her vocabulary and talking have improved 500%. She is talking away, knows animals along with some of their sounds, shes learning colors, she knows her nose, mouth, eyes, etc..... I could go on and on. I am just so glad we put her in.
Cheerleading season is getting ready to gear up as well. Jenna has her 1st competition on Nov 2nd. I sure hope they are ready! Jenna is also loving dance........I think it may be a toss up as to what she does next year. There is no way we are doing both again!
Justin and Joshua are anxiously awaiting Spring Baseball to start. We may continue with Karate till then as well, but I don't see a way for them to do both in the spring. They are both to time consuming.
As for Steve and I, we are getting back on the exercise track. I talked him into doing an hour long spinning class with me a few nights ago. Not sure if he'll go back with me again, but it was nice having him there with me. Generally we just go our own ways at the gym, so it was kinda cool to do that class together. I'm also trying to run/walk 3 days a week. I have always wanted to do a 5K....so what better time then now when the fall air is cool and not so hot.
Well, we hope everyone else is doing fine. I'll try not to wait so long in between updates next time!

We survived Justin and Jenna's parties!

Whew....glad that is over for another year! :) We had great fun party ideas and lo and behold what do we do? Why slumber parties again of course! I always swear after each one no more. lol However, they really were not that bad! Justin had 5 friends over last weekend for his party. They stayed up until about 5:30am playing halo. I think they literally fell asleep playing. Then when the first mom showed up at 9am......they were not the least bit interested in getting up. Justin proceeded to play all day, but was out about 7 and slept all night. I don't know how they do it! Last night Jenna had 6 girls spend the night for her party. I painted 7 pairs of toes, 7 pairs of nails and we had a Jonas Brothers dance party. Whew........girls. That's about all I can say about that! They did go to sleep much earlier- about midnight.......however when my alarm went off at 6:45 they were all up giggling and were on the trampoline by 7. Jenna was in a parade this morning for her gym and we had to be there by 9........so all the moms (with 1 dad thrown in), got here right on time and off we went to the parade. The kids all had a blast and got tons of candy, and now of course want to go to more parades! We ate lunch and Steve and Justin headed to Athens to the UGA-Bama game. They aren't exactly looking so great, but they got tickets and they are having fun. Hey-the Gators lost today so at least something good happened!
